Thank Moo.

Happy Thanksgiving bitches! I had a pretty good one this year. My folks came into town late last night and left this evening. Mainly they came to pick up my car, Scarlet. She is in desperate need of new brakes and fans. So, just to be difficult, my parents drove here (2 1/2 hours) to pick up my car. My dad left his car for me to drive, and took Scarlet home. Not only are they driving all that distance with bad brakes, but they went from a four-door Aztec to a two-door Neon. They went from power windows and locks, to manual ones. I plan on never hearing the end of it.

I know they are just trying to save me a couple hundred dollars, but I never felt more like the spoiled baby in the family than I do right now. My mother was hyper-critical (as usual) over the phone before she got here, but I think she was pleasantly surprised to see what I ended up making for dinner.

I stopped by Kroger and got them a package of sliced turkey breast, so they could have some turkey today. I am a vegetarian, although I would have not been upset to try and cook a bird for them. But, how much turkey can two people eat anyway? I then had corn, stuffing, cheesy mashed potatoes, cornbread, salad, muffins, nut bread, and canned cranberry sauce (the only way to go). It was not perfect, but it was good enough.

They Ooh'ed and Ahh'ed over the food (I made breakfast too) so that was nice. As long as my mother kept her critical comments to herself I was fine. I mean, in true Holiday fashion, I was in tears over her before she even got here. Alas, I survived!

I hope everyone had a safe and wonderful Turkey day too. I am about to take a nap and get ready to watch Star Wars for the first time.

Tomorrow is "Hell day", "Black Friday", or as Stephanie called it "National dip shit shopper day". People are assholes already, so this season should be fun. I will write up and let you know how it went and if I beat the shit out of anyone.

Cheers!
