For once, I would say this was a terrible accident. I wonder why no one saw the signs about how worn out he was and got him so help. Don't these actors have "handlers" and managers?

The one overriding thought I had was "That poor little girl".
And I LOVED him in "Ten Things I Hate About YOu." He was awesome.
I'll miss him.

Giga- I think people just take and take and take. Then when the person is not popular anymore they just throw them away. It is a damn shame.

Jen- That was why I chose the picture of him with his daughter. I remembered seeing it a few years ago and loving the photo. For me, the photo represents it all. He was a father, lover and son.

The statement his family read from Australia almost killed me. "We, Heath's family, confirm the very tragic, untimely and accidental passing of our dearly loved son, brother and doting father of Matilda, who was found in a peaceful sleep in his New York apartment by his housekeeper at 3:30 p.m." "Found in a peaceful sleep" made me lose it. He was a real human being, and it so very sad to hear of his untimely death, rumors and cruelty surrounding his passing. (see my friends blog: blah blah blog)

I was never a huge fan of his, but something about his death and the aftermath really makes me sad.
